officially getting started

Hello.
I'm not too sure about blogging yet. A few of my friends and family have blogs and I decided to see what its all about myself. I figured since I like reading others blogs maybe I should have one of my own. :)

If you're reading this I'm assuming you know me or Scott some how. So I'll skip the introduction, unless you think you need one then let me know.

We survived Christmas this year. I guess I shouldn't say we survived. It was great to see family again but we had 5 parties all weekend long and I was ready for it to be done when I went back to work on Monday.

My two favorite Christmas presents are my "wicked good" slippers from Scott and the hippopotamus I got from my cousin Cortney. Howard is a great hippo and doesn't even have to stay in the garage and his feeding bills are non-existant. :)

Now the long New Year's weekend begins. I got an unexpected surprise at work this morning. Occasionally I have to work in surgery all day with one surgeon I'm trained to work with. I'm responsible for running the c-arm, a portable xray machine, while the operations are taking place. Yesterday this surgeon was sick and cancelled all of his cases. Last night before I left work I checked today's schedule and he was still scheduled. This morning when I was printing the OR schedule, guess what! He was cancelled again today. So I went home early! :) I worked from 7am-8am and then started my 5 day weekend! Woohoo. I'm not going to turn down that unexpected surprise. Scott and I are both off for the rest of this week and have 4 day weekends. Yay! :) Now to figure out what to do.....
