My Grandparent's celebrated 60 years of marrriage this past week. Congrats! Its so amazing to see a marriage that has withstood the ups and downs life/marriage can take. And I know they have had several of those, from the death of 2 children, a battle with cancer, a battle with pneumonia, serious car accident they are have and still totally devoted to one another. I don't think my grandparent realize the testimony and legacy they are leaving for me or my cousins. As my grandma would put it, "we're just doing what we know how to do."
On the same day my grandma and grandpa marked 60 years, scott and I marked 3 years. It still seems like we haven't been married that long and yet it does. Weird, huh? We celebrated our anniversary by going to Traverse City. We went there for a our first anniversary and went back again this year. I honestly think we just go for all the good food they have up there! From the Blue Tractor to Cherry Republic it was all yumminess.
Another class finished their xray program this week. This was my first class finishing as their clinical instructor. These 7 people aren't just my students they've also become like friends. I didn't want to see them leave on Friday but it was time. They've finished a long 2 year road filled with lots of learning and laughs. I can't wait to hear one by one that they all passed their boards. I think that will be a fullfillment of their education and hopefully a few things they have learned from me.
Happy Father's Day to my dad. I know I don't always say the words but I Love You Dad. You've taught me so much and I still learn from you. I love our chats whether it was a walk around the block, a drive up north, or just stopping by for a bit. Thanks for everything.
Okay I've gone on enough. Back to the laundry from vacation....
