Oh brrrr!

I can't believe how cold its been this week. If I were talking to my Grandma she'd say January is usually the coldest month and it seems we get about a week of below zero temperatures. I guess she knows what she's talking about after seeing 80 winters both here and up north. As I've said before Grandmas are wise and I'm blessed to still have both of mine. :) I do greatly enjoy my visits with her. Especially when she says what is on her mind, exactly what she means. It always cracks me up. I guess when you've reached a certain age you have the freedom do say what you want and do what you want. I say go for it.

Once again I'm pretty much convinced I have the best husband ever. And yes I'm incredibly biased! Monday, I got home from work, (I'm usually exhausted working Monday don't know why but usually I am) Scott had made brownies and had a warm one sitting on a plate for me when I got home. That was a great treat to arrive home to! Tuesday night he made dinner and served it to me. Awesome! The rest of the week either I was working late or he had something at church it was a good treat tho. :)

I'm apart of a book club at work and we met this week Wednesday to discuss 2 books. My favorite of the 2 was Queen of the Big Time. Its about an Italian girl growing up in the 1920's and she wants to go to school and become a teacher but circumstances make her go to to work and the different plan her life took than what was expected. I good book and I highly recommend it. I have requested more books by the author from the library. We also discussed a book called Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. Its about a chinese girl growing up in the 1400's and the customs, religion, and beliefs of the Chinese culture complete with foot binding. Ouch! An alright book but I like the other one better. Now we're on to a book call the Double Bind. Not quite sure what it's about but it supposed to be a thriller. Hmmmm.....

Well the timer is going off so the burritoes are done. Adios.
