Yet another week

Another week is almost finished here and like most its been busy. Some high lights and low lights. I'll keep this brief slnce I'm tired and sure this probably won't make much sense. Do I ever?

-I got together with my girlfriends from high school and I usually forget how much fun I have with them. The laughs, food, memories and just saying whatever comes to mind always keeps it entertaining. I look forward to our next gathering which will probably be for my birthday. Yikes!

-The metro cruise was this weekend and like usual tha gang from Hopkins amde their way up here and it was fun, full of laughs, food, and the annual Jenga, wine and cheese party. I'd write more but not sure you'd understand.

-I completed my 5th 5k run for this summer. I'm beginning to think that maybe running isn't my nemesis, but rather something I tolerate and maybe beginning to enjoy. I'm tired and have sore muscles from running but thats usual for me after a run. I posted my best 5k time ever finally betting my goal I've had since the beginning of July. It only took me 3 races to finally meet it! Two of my friends ran the race too and I have to admit is such a pick-me-up/extra drive to kick it in when you have people cheering for you to finish the race strong. It makes me want to run faster and get a decent time. It was perfect weather for a run. I couldn't ask for a better day. Not to muention it only took me about 5 minutes to get home! :)

-Low light my dad is having surgery on Monday. I'd greatly appreciate any prayers and thoughts for him, my mom and the doctors and staff at the hospital and in the operating room. Its tough for me as a health care worker to take the clinical part of me out of the mix and step back and be a daughter. I wan the answers and guarantee that he will be okay. I know and trust even more than that, God knows what will happen and I can trust him. Even though its tough. I'll try to turn my anxieties and worries over to him.

OKay thats all folks. Peace.
Race for the Cure is in a month. Its a great race and for a good cause and very fun and inspirational. Okay thats my public servica announcement for today.

You are doing awesome with those 5ks! I wimped out and stopped running partially because I got lazy partially because Brian started working and no one to watch the kids in the morning anymore. Going at night is so much harder for me to be motivated to do for some reason. Anyway, gained weight back because of it so I need to start again! You are awesome though! Congratulations!
