Today is my mom's birthday! Happy Birthday Mom. I know I can get her the best present I can think of and tell her a million times happy birthday, but it's not enough to thank her for the amazing woman she is. I know it's incredibly cliche to say that my mom is the best, but she is the best. Here's to another great and blessed year.
I'm totally loving the fall weather, although I'm ready for decent weather on Saturdays, it makes it real easy to stay inside and spend the day reading, napping and watching college football. Which Scott is always happy to do, watch football. High school and college ball is my favorite, I honestly really don't care much about pro. I know its a better game but high school football is the best its the more pure and authentic version there is, followed by college.
Once again a fairly quiet week around the casa here. Scott spent quite a bit of time this week with his dad and cousin, Jeff in from Washington. So I was on my own and found some things to do after work, spent some time with my dad and friends from work that we don't get much of a chance to hang out side after work. It was great. And last night I had such a great time with Laura we've been friends since high school and can pick up right where we left off from the last time.
Oh and I started physical therapy for an irritated IT band around the gluteus fascia lateralis muscle in my hip. Basically since I've been running I started getting right hip pain that I feel whenever I take a step doesn't matter if I'm walking or running, actually its better when I run, once my muscles get warmed up it feels a ton better. After stopping and cooling down is when it hurts. Physical therapy hurts! I keep reminding myself to look towards the end when hopefully this will all be resolved. :) I have two more road races this fall Race for the Cure next week Saturday and Run Thru the Rapids in downtown GR in 3 weeks. Then I think I'm done with races for the year, its going to start getting cold!
Apple crisp is done and timer is beeping. Adios.
