Whirlwind Day!

It has been a very busy day for me. Scott's day was a little more relaxing, I think. I went to Chicago to go and visit my sister and brother in law. I was able to see their new apartment that they moved into 6 months ago. I'm a little slow on the up take there. oh well.

It was an early day with a 3.5 hour car ride with my mom and then attempting to parallel park. Not something we have to do very often here at home. Or I avoid it at all costs possible. :) We headed over to Hamilton's the bar my sister bartends on weekends and had some lunch and then headed downtown. I rode the elevated train for hte first time. It was a ton of fun! I could ride that thing all day and just people watch and watch the scenery outside. All sorts of different buildings.

We shopped most of the afternoon at the discount stores Filene's Basement, Nordstrom Rack and a stop at the popcorn store for my mom and Cheesecake Factory for me.

Our ride home was a bit slower going we hit a traffic jam about 20 min. away from my sister's place and crawled for 30 minutes in about a 2 mile stretch. Yuck. Makes me like GR traffic much more. A little adventure in a big truck stop parking lot attempting to somehow find McDonalds and the gas station. Oh well.

The week has been pretty good. And I"m ready for bed.
